My personal favourite dog training collar, is the police style check chains. I have found that they seem to work if used correctly on almost all dogs!

Long link check chains are used in police and working line dog training for a reason.

1. They are effective at giving the dog a kind but, blunt and fast correction, much more effective than the thin linked variety.

2. They do not damage the dog's fur like the thin linked variety of check chains sometimes do.

3. Unlike other dog training collars they don't generally agitate the dog and seem to lessen the intensity of the situation. They can be a good alternative for dog's that become adrenalized from the sensation of the prong collar.

This check chain is 22" long, which means it can easily go over most dogs head's however, if you want to shorten it once on the dog the long links mean you can clip the lead back onto those links.
